Throughout the years I have seen some bad habits about pool care. Some of these would be over-use of chlorine tablets and disregard of the balance of the chemistry.
When pools crave tablets, that often is an indication something is wrong. Most pool stores will not ask you the temperature of the water you brought in to sample because they're using range chemistry to achieve a balance. This works but is questionable when the water temperatures are at its extremes. If you're looking for a better technique this would be known as LSI.
Every pool visited, establishing the LSI is a huge focus, I personally feel all pool companies should be doing this.
